LIT

Visual concept for an event called LIT or Live Interactive Turing Test.
At the event an orchestra performs musical pieces written by experimental composers as well as pieces created by an algorithm.

The idea of using algorithms to create art is not new. But how far are we now? Is it still possible for the audience to guess which pieces were composed by a human?

Each guest gets access to an app, which allows for guessing if the piece currently performed was composed by a human or not. The simple app registers your guess, and how sure you are, via a swipe motion that gets translated into a color. The colors representing the votes of the audience are then used in the background visuals illuminating the venue.
