In 2015 I did have the chance to observe, assist and shoot making of material at one of Olaf Martens shoots for his Future of work project. It was an honor to learn from this internationally known photographer, and be part of one of his extensive shoots.
It was fascinating to observe his way of working, as well as this mysterious world unfold in the Knappenrode energy museum, a former coal briquette plant. The shoot took several days, whereas the fashion props had been created over weeks – I am very thankful for the rare opportunity to have witnessed the entire process.
My pictures are featured on the Leipzig School of Design website and were part of the "Die Zukunft der Arbeit" exhibition at Energiefabrik Knappenrode.
